I’ve always been curious. I’m inquisitive by nature and at times this got me into trouble – being ‘nosey’, christmas present snooping, breaking extensive pieces of flash because ‘I just wanted to see how it worked’. But being curious also pushes me to the tops of hills, to the end of books and has brought some of the best memories into my life.
One night in college Amanda and I were out – I forget what we were doing – probably going to Wegmans and we saw lights in the sky – like search spotlights straight out of US Marshalls or Hollywood. We needed to find the source of these lights. So we went on a hunt and in that hunt we had the best time – we actually saw a sign that said “Speed Hump” which had us in a fit of giggles and when we finally did find the source of the spotlights there were paper bag lanterns leading us there. Being curious is so worth it.
The website is new and I couldn’t be more excited about it. It continues and solidifies my venture into photography and I’m equal parts scared and thrilled. The blog has a tagline of “and then ________”. Because what happens after And Then is what is truly interesting to me. For example…
I walked into a bar AND THEN _____________.
I was stuck in a snow storm AND THEN ______________.
I got laid off from my job AND THEN _______________.
First off, this happened AND THEN ___________.
The And Then in life is what gets me. The getting to and from And Then. And Then is a family joke on some levels because stories with a lot of And Thens are hilarious – I prefer just one or two. I guess thats why I love reading blogs – it’s all about your And Then.
For me And Then is all about getting to the good part. I hope you find some of that here. Now tell me what you think by using this new comment form.
In my life something very interesting happens about five times a year. People that seek change come to me. It’s funny because they all come within a week of each other which is what I find really interesting. In March it was because of the snow and the gray, everyone wanted that to change so they came to me. In June it was because the tastes of summer were surrounding us and it needed to be noted. And now at the end of August they are coming back – not quite ready for fall, but ready for the marathon of summer to conclude.
I’m going to chop up the e-mails a little bit but given these four women are seeking it – I figured we all might be. I know I am
“Maybe just one photo this time, really simple” – Pocklock
“I’m looking for something really simple.” – Kellie
“I don’t want a lot of change, just take away the business in the sidebar” – Kristin
“I’m not ready for fall – but I need a change, something simple” – AndreAnna
Thanks for being my "simple" friend. I triple chocolate Easter Bunny you.
You do such good work, Cass! I'm going to have to contact you sometime soon... I need something pretty in my life!
I'm loving my new look :) But, as I told you yesterday, I'm already thinking of the next change :) It's hard for me to convey what I want, because I KNOW what it is, but can't always get that across. I suck at explaining. You, however, do NOT suck at what you create!!
OMG, I love these!!!! All of them look awesome! Do you do this out of the goodness of your heart or is there a fee? I'm not savvy enough to make my blog look really gorgeous, but I wish it did. Well done, wow! :-D
I don't know what sparks the desire for change (I usually change mine up roughly once every month or two, just because it's always the same down here, year round) but I can see why they keep coming back to you! Your headers are *gorgeous*, Cass.
I love what you've put together. Truthfully, I am a little awed by it. And just like an fascinating story, I cannot wait to see what happens next!
Wow, you're like a big girl and stuff! You are awesome and this just goes to show you that when you put your mind to something, you can do anything! So proud of you.
This is all kinds of fantastic. Just like you. I love it. You continue to inspire me. xoxoxo
And then we had a baby girl and her name was Cass and she was and still is curious. My favorite and then story is when she and her friend decided driving into town at 1:00am with grandmas car at age 14 was a great idea... and then she was grounded!! love ya honey!!
Wow, I love it! I think it's beautiful and fresh! Liking this new comment form as well!
