I spent the day with AndreAnna’s kids Charlotte and Sawyer.  I love them.  They’re family to me and it was SUCH a fun day.  I wanted to share some pictures and some verbal outtakes.

This face.  It looks you in the eye and you’re pretty sure that you’re going to melt into a puddle.  And then you get this one….

And before you even know it you’ve melted and your pouring juice in a cup.

Char: Why did you put your hair up?
Me: Because it was hot.
Char: Why?
Me: Because the sun is out.
Char: Why is the sun out today?
Me: Because its the start of spring.
Char: Is it going to be spring forever?
Me: Spring will  be ending about when this conversation is over.
Char: Yeah.  In five seconds (EVERYTHING is five seconds)
<five minutes later>
Char: I’m afraid of airplanes.
Me: Why?
Char: I just AMMMM okay????
ME: Well, no not really okay.  Why are you afraid of them?
Char: They don’t have food.
Me: You can bring food though, right?  If you want to?
Char: You know.  You ask a lot of questions.  It’s kinda annoying.

I’m going to call this one of the three minutes in which Charlotte was silent today.  This girl.  Can talk.  Like.  For reals.

Me: So how old are you?
Char: Three
Sawyer: Feeeeeee
Me: So how old will you be on your birthday?
Char: Five
Me: Count with me 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.  I think you’ll be 4.
Char: No.  I’m going to be five.
Me: Whats wrong with 4.
Char: I am going to be five.  My Momma said.
Me: There is no arguing with Momma so five it is.

Sometimes we were serious….but most of the time we were like this because.  I am a very silly Aunt Cass.  And I was told more times today how loved I am by this little person than in the entire previous month….having her around makes you feel really really good.

They’re beautiful these children.  Beautiful and so loved.
