My two cents
The year is nearly done so I’ve decided the last post of the year will be done in my favorite format – The bullet.
- Lexi and I had a really great time at my parents over the extended holiday weekend. When we go there though it’s kind of like a meal vacuum where lunch never happens because there is cheese and chex mix and cookies that start being consumed at 10:30. I think we’re both equally glad to get back into our routine here. I’m also really glad that I get to wear yoga pants.
- My Mom did my laundry. I just wanted to rub that in.
- 2009 wasn’t what I thought it would be….but it was a life changing year, that’s for sure, and I’m thankful for that. There was a quote from a course I had taken this year that said “Make room in your life for the change you need.” After 2009 there is officially room.
- I have my 2010 calendar ready – I’m showing great restraint and not putting all of the Christmas stuff away until after New Years….some of it may be put away though.
- I read two books while up at my parents house and now I feel like I’m back on a roll where I can actually read again…that only took 18 months.
- Lexi is stirring in her crib and saying “Caaaaaaaa” my Christmas wish of her saying Maaaaa or Mom or Mommeee or any variation of an M word didn’t happen. But she does give me lots of hugs and kisses and when she sees me she does scream Caaaaa at the top of her lungs so she clearly knows who I am.
I was determined to keep my Christmas stuff up until New Year's Day. Sunday night? I decided at 7pm it needed to come down. By 9, everything was packed up and back in storage. I'm looking forward to what you you accomplish in 2010 :)
Our tree is gone, but I'm leaving the rest until New Year's. I don't mind it, I suppose, but the tree was starting to drop needles. I LOVE the feeling of getting a book read. I've always loved it, but it's so much more satisfying now that there are fewer moments for it.
